So, another new year full of resolutions that many of us make and break within the first few months…if that.

It's been a long time since I blogged anything. Thought it was way past time for an update.
On the writing front, I have (since my last blogs) published Grunt Work, Agent Jack Knight: Russia, and Chrystal Bahl's Blood Ties. YAY!
Currently working on Generally Speaking, Agent Jack Knight: Mexico, and Chrystal Bahl's Blood Secrets. It's a toss up which will be published next, but I'm kind of leaning towards Blood Secrets. Time will tell.

I am hard at work on my Agent Jack Knight: Russia book. I am hopeful that I can have it finished by the end of February *fingers crossed*. I have a lot less on my plate for the next couple of months, so I plan to devote a lot of time to completing it.
I hope I didn't just jinx myself.

The last couple of weeks have been absolutely wild! We've traveled more miles this month than we have in the last six months put together.
Then we tore up our kitchen floor to get ready for our tile but the tiling people had to postpone because of all the icy weather. We've been living on concrete for over a week now and I have nothing in the kitchen...no table...no chairs...nothing except our wet/dry vac.

My low-carb stuffing turned out so well! I was surprised how good it tasted.
Basically, I took a bunch of recipes I found online and picked out the ingredients I liked and it worked.
Ingredients and instructions:
Toast 1 cup of walnuts (place on cookie sheet in oven at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes

Working hard to make a low-carb Turkey Day.
1. Trying out a new stuffing recipe that I pieced together from other low-carb stuffing recipes I found on the internet
2. Substituting sugar free cherry Jello instead of cranberry sauce
3. Making a pumpkin casserole with just a touch of pineapple topped with whipped cream to replace sweet potatoes (or yams)

Didn't matter where I went today, the lines were already way too long at the checkout.
Best Buy, Academy Sports, Tom Thumb, Walmart...you know it's bad when you hear "All checkers to the front please".
And don't even get me started on the public sneezing and coughing...
I think I'll stick to shopping online until everybody else is back to work and school.

I love cooking in my kitchen now. Won't have the floor done until the week after Thanksgiving, but the countertop and backsplash are great and my new sink and faucet are awesome.
Made a simple no-sugar-added cheesecake today. Yummy!
16 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup Splenda
1/2 tsp vanilla
dash of milk if needed for desired consistency

My favorite time of the year to watch movies...Christmas movies...November and December. We watched Charlie Brown last night and Winnie the Pooh tonight.
Planning to get in all the animated favorites before the New Year like Frostie, Rudolph, and Santa Claus is Coming to Town.
